Special Education Teacher - Elk River, Minnesota

Key Qualifications:

• Must hold a current Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4); candidates will be considered only with a valid certification and updated resume attached
• Previous experience in a Special Education Resource setting, preferably at the elementary level
• Strong knowledge of IEPs and experience implementing individualized education plans
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and support staff
• Organizational skills to manage caseload documentation and lesson planning efficiently
• Adaptable, patient, and dedicated to student growth

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct resource support for students with varied learning needs within an elementary school environment
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Work closely with general education teachers to support the inclusion and success of all students
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports for each student on your caseload
• Communicate frequently with parents, administrators, and other stakeholders regarding student performance and needs
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
