This full-time, contract position is open to passionate educators ready to serve a diverse range of student needs for the 2026-2027 school year, with placements district-wide and in specialized programs through the end of the school year.
Current opportunities include multiple positions for Special Education Assessment Teachers, Special Education Teachers in Setting III/IV therapeutic environments, and elementary roles within an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) center-based program. These roles are essential in ensuring every student has access to high-quality, individualized educational experiences.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or a closely related field
- Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License, or eligibility through reciprocity
- Demonstrated experience in developing, managing, and implementing IEPs
- In-depth understanding of IDEA, special education compliance, and case management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with ASD, Resource/Self-Contained, Setting III/IV, or Assessment roles highly valued
- Familiarity with PBIS, MTSS, FBAs, BIPs, and crisis intervention preferred
- Experience supporting both elementary and/or secondary student populations is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and develop IEPs tailored to student strengths and areas of need
- Collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administrators
- Conduct assessments, eligibility determinations, and ongoing progress monitoring
- Deliver behavioral, emotional, and academic supports, especially in therapeutic and structured settings
- Maintain procedural compliance with state and federal special education requirements
- Build supportive, inclusive environments that foster student growth and achievement
