This full-time, contract position is open to passionate educators ready to serve a diverse range of student needs for the 2026-2027 school year, with placements district-wide and in specialized programs through the end of the school year.

Current opportunities include multiple positions for Special Education Assessment Teachers, Special Education Teachers in Setting III/IV therapeutic environments, and elementary roles within an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) center-based program. These roles are essential in ensuring every student has access to high-quality, individualized educational experiences.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or a closely related field
  • Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License, or eligibility through reciprocity
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, managing, and implementing IEPs
  • In-depth understanding of IDEA, special education compliance, and case management
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with ASD, Resource/Self-Contained, Setting III/IV, or Assessment roles highly valued
  • Familiarity with PBIS, MTSS, FBAs, BIPs, and crisis intervention preferred
  • Experience supporting both elementary and/or secondary student populations is an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and develop IEPs tailored to student strengths and areas of need
  • Collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administrators
  • Conduct assessments, eligibility determinations, and ongoing progress monitoring
  • Deliver behavioral, emotional, and academic supports, especially in therapeutic and structured settings
  • Maintain procedural compliance with state and federal special education requirements
  • Build supportive, inclusive environments that foster student growth and achievement
