Exciting opportunities are available for passionate Special Education Teachers to serve students across multiple school sites for the 2026/2027 academic year. These contract positions offer a dynamic and rewarding environment, working with diverse learners and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Available Roles:

  • Special Education Assessment Teacher: Conduct comprehensive evaluations, participate in eligibility determinations, write reports, and help guide IEP development.
  • Special Education Teacher – Setting III/IV (Restore Program): Support high school students with significant behavioral and emotional needs, utilize trauma-informed strategies, and provide individualized interventions.
  • Elementary ASD Center-Based Teacher: Join a dedicated team supporting elementary students within a structured Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) program, leveraging visuals, communication supports, and sensory strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement compliant IEPs tailored to student needs.
  • Deliver specially designed instruction and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Participate in IEP, evaluation, and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related services, and families.
  • Implement effective behavior supports and classroom management techniques.
  • Foster inclusive, supportive learning environments.
  • Maintain compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Special Education or a related field.
  • Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License, or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity.
  • Demonstrated experience developing/managing IEPs and special education case management.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Solid understanding of special education law and compliance.

Preferred Experience and Licensure:

  • Licensure in ABS, ASD, EBD, DD, or LD.
  • Background in ASD, Setting III/IV, behavioral classrooms, PBIS, MTSS, FBAs, and BIPs.
  • Experience in both elementary and secondary special education settings.
