Special Education Teacher in Elk River, MN

This contract position is full-time and onsite, ensuring you have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with students and colleagues throughout your assignment.

Required Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 teaching license in Special Education (must attach MN Teaching Certification and resume for consideration)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school-based setting is highly valued
• Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs, progress monitoring, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to foster a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere that supports diverse learning needs
• Passion for advocacy and inclusion in education

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction as outlined in students’ IEPs within an elementary resource classroom setting
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Use research-based instructional strategies and data-driven interventions to address specific student goals
• Maintain accurate records and documentation according to district requirements and best practices
• Actively participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
