Make an incredible impact this upcoming school year by supporting elementary students as a full-time Special Education Teacher. This contract opportunity runs from late August through early June and offers you the chance to work with a dedicated educational team in a vibrant, student-centered environment. You’ll focus on an ABS (Academic Behavioral Support) caseload at the elementary level, providing specialized instruction and interventions to help learners reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • Experience working with ABS or similar special education caseloads preferred
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with general education staff, families, and support teams
  • Excellent communication and organization abilities
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all students

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction for students on your caseload, adapting curriculum and materials as needed
  • Develop, implement, and update IEPs according to state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and families to support student learning and address behavioral or academic challenges
  • Monitor student progress and maintain comprehensive records
  • Participate fully in school meetings, professional development, and grade-level teaming
  • Create a welcoming and safe classroom that encourages student engagement, growth, and independence
