Special Education Teacher | Elk River, Minnesota

An exceptional opportunity is now available for a caring and skilled Special Education Teacher to work within an expanded, center-based program designed for students with autism and unique developmental needs. This role is key within a specialized elementary-level setting focused on helping young learners unlock their full potential.

As part of this rewarding contract position, you will be part of a dedicated group that ensures each student receives customized support through the “Ready, Set, Launch” program. The assignment runs through June 10, 2027, with a full-time Monday to Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours each week.

What we’re looking for:

• Active Minnesota Special Education Teacher License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Experience working with diverse learning profiles, particularly students with autism or developmental cognitive disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals
• Dedication to fostering social, academic, and emotional growth

What you’ll do:

• Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with IEPs in a center-based setting
• Collaborate with staff, related service providers, and families to ensure student progress
• Contribute to creating a supportive, safe, and engaging classroom atmosphere
• Collect data and monitor student growth, adjusting strategies as needed
• Support students as they build readiness skills for future academic and social success
