Desired Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License
  • Tier 1 and Tier 2 licensure accepted, though Tier 3 or 4 is preferred
  • Licensure in Emotional or Behavioral Disorders (EBD) required
  • Previous experience working in a special education setting strongly preferred
  • Ability to adapt instructional strategies to fit individual needs
  • Collaborative mindset for working alongside families and staff
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive classroom

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to elementary students in a center-based program
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with a supportive team
  • Monitor, track, and report on student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
  • Employ proactive classroom management and behavioral interventions
  • Work closely with parents, guardians, and allied professionals to support each student’s growth
  • Participate in team meetings, staff trainings, and ongoing professional development
