Special Education Teacher - Elk River, MN

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching license required
• Demonstrated knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Experience working with a range of disabilities, including behavioral and learning differences
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Collaborative team player with flexibility and adaptability
• Previous classroom or resource setting experience strongly preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals for students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, modify, and implement lesson plans and strategies that accommodate each learner’s abilities
• Assess student progress and adjust interventions in collaboration with support staff and administration
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP conferences, and parent communications
• Support inclusion in general education classrooms as appropriate
• Foster a supportive, positive classroom environment where all students can thrive
