Special Education Teacher - Elk River, MN

This is a contract position working full-time, onsite.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Relevant experience teaching students with autism or diverse learning challenges, particularly at the elementary (K-5) level
• Skill in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborative approach, willing to partner with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Support K-5 students on your caseload through tailored, evidence-based instruction and behavioral strategies
• Develop and adapt lesson plans for learners’ varied strengths and needs
• Assess student progress and maintain detailed documentation aligned with IEP goals
• Partner with educational teams, therapists, and support staff to ensure holistic care
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom that celebrates each student’s growth
