Opportunities exist at both elementary (two positions) and middle school (two positions) levels. These contract-to-hire positions will provide you with valuable experience and a chance for long-term engagement.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana Special Education teaching license required
- Experience working with a diverse range of disabilities or eagerness to build skills across varied needs
- Ability to collaborate with general education staff and support inclusive, push-in service models
- Strong communication, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to fostering an equitable and engaging learning environment for all students
Responsibilities:
- Deliver special education services primarily within general education classrooms (push-in model)
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers, parents, and specialists
- Manage a caseload corresponding to the assigned grade and school level
- Collect data and use assessment results to inform instruction and communicate progress
- Cultivate a positive, supportive, and structured classroom climate
