Special Education Teacher - Elkhorn, WI

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification in Wisconsin)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Special Education, or a related field
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and legal compliance
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Passion for working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet individual student needs in accordance with IEPs
• Collaborate with general education staff and other school professionals to promote inclusion and accommodate learning differences
• Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records
• Develop, implement, and review effective classroom management strategies
• Communicate consistently with families and caregivers, fostering supportive relationships
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
