Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience or strong interest in working within a K-6 special education setting
• Ability to create adaptive lesson plans and individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to students with a wide range of learning differences
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in consultation with a multidisciplinary team
• Utilize evidence-based strategies and positive behavior supports to foster student progress
• Communicate regularly with families, support staff, and school administration
• Maintain an organized, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Take part in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices

This position features contract employment with a schedule designed to support work-life balance: Monday through Thursday, 7:15 am-4:15 pm, leaving Fridays open for planning, collaboration, or personal time.
