What We’re Looking For:

• Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Familiarity with diverse instructional strategies and behavior management techniques
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Adaptability to work with students across various grade levels and disability categories

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver tailored lessons to meet each student’s unique needs
• Develop, implement, and review IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Assess student progress regularly and modify instruction to maximize growth
• Partner with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote inclusion and positive learning experiences
• Utilize a variety of instructional materials and assistive technology where appropriate
• Maintain accurate student records and compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
• Foster a nurturing, encouraging, and safe classroom environment
