Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification required
  • Previous experience working with elementary-aged children, especially in special education
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to adapt instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver personalized lessons that meet the diverse needs of students in grades 2-5
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor progress on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth
  • Use data-driven strategies and regular assessments to track student progress and inform instructional decisions
  • Provide social, emotional, and behavioral support to help students thrive in their educational journey
