Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained autism classroom for students in grades 3–5.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs).
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet students' academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs.
Collaborate with related service providers, general education staff, administrators, and families to support student success.
Monitor student progress, maintain required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings.
Foster a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes independence and meaningful student growth.
Qualifications:
Active Illinois Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) License.
Previous experience working with students with autism or in a self-contained special education setting preferred.
Strong classroom management, collaboration, and communication skills.

Compensation for this position ranges from $33.05 to $53.05. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
