Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS-I) license
  • Experience working in special education; self-contained autism program experience a plus
  • Comfortable teaching and supporting elementary (3rd–5th grade) students
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Adaptable, compassionate, and eager to contribute in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective instruction and support to approximately nine students in a self-contained autism classroom
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with classroom staff, therapists, and families
  • Track progress and adjust learning strategies to meet individual needs
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment that fosters student growth
