• Current New York State Teaching License with a high school endorsement
• Certifications required for teaching in an ED classroom setting
• Experience supporting students with emotional disabilities at the secondary level strongly preferred
• Background in individualized instruction, behavioral intervention, and inclusive teaching methods

• Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals for 11th and 12th grade
• Create a supportive environment that fosters academic, emotional, and social growth
• Work closely with support staff, counselors, and administrative teams
• Develop lesson plans and classroom routines tailored to students’ unique needs
• Track academic progress and maintain timely documentation
• Offer guidance and encouragement to help each student reach their full potential
