Desired Qualifications:

  • Active New York State Special Education Teaching License
  • All required endorsements and certifications for service
  • 6-8 weeks availability beginning September 8, 2026
  • Experience teaching grades 11-12 preferred
  • Ability to work in person
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach students with Emotional Disturbances (ED) in grades 11-12
  • Collaborate with other educators and support staff
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to team planning
  • Engage in ongoing parent and stakeholder communications
