This sub position runs from September 8, 2026, through early December, offering up to 12 weeks of enriching experience in a high school special education (ED) classroom for 11th and 12th graders. As you work onsite Monday through Friday, you’ll be exposed to new methodologies, collaborate with dedicated educators, and strengthen your leadership skills—all while enhancing your resume.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State Teaching License with high school endorsement and certifications required for ED classroom environments
• Background in special education at the high school level preferred
• Strong communication, adaptability, and classroom management skills
• Passion for delivering individualized instruction and fostering student success

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction to 11th/12th grade students within an ED classroom setting
• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with faculty, support staff, and families
