Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state
• Prior experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education or inclusive classroom setting
• Demonstrated skill supporting students with behavioral needs, developing and implementing behavior intervention plans
• Ability to create engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual student goals and IEPs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, families, and support personnel
• Adaptability, patience, and a compassionate approach to helping all students succeed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and behavioral support for elementary students in a designated behavior setting
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Foster a positive, structured classroom environment that celebrates students’ achievements and progress
• Maintain detailed student records, monitor progress, and communicate regularly with families and team members
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to support student inclusion and success
• Contribute actively to IEP meetings and ongoing team planning
