Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (Ohio preferred)
• Proven experience working in school-based special education settings
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Skilled in promoting inclusion and adapting instruction for students with a range of needs
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
• Experience working with both middle and high school students highly desirable
• Flexibility and adaptability to support students split between grade levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to special education students in both middle and high school settings
• Assess student needs and create engaging, differentiated lesson plans
• Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to track student progress
• Manage and update IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Promote a supportive, positive atmosphere that encourages student participation and independence
• Address the unique physical and instructional needs presented in an OI (Orthopedic Impairment) classroom
