Special Education Teacher - Emerson, AR

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility in the state)
• Experience or coursework in Special Education instructional strategies
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Strong classroom management and organizational abilities
• Experience with K-12 populations, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities in both resource and/or inclusion settings
• Develop, review, and implement IEPs, ensuring each student receives tailored interventions
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, instructional aides, and related service providers
• Track and report student progress, regularly updating documentation in compliance with regulations
• Foster a positive and safe classroom atmosphere conducive to academic and social growth
• Maintain consistent communication with families regarding student successes and challenges
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
