Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
- Adapt and modify curriculum and instruction to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including progress monitoring and reporting.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and other school initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas Special Education teaching license.
- Strong instructional and behavioral management skills.
- Experience with high school students, preferred.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual needs.
- Effective communicator with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Dedicated to fostering student growth in both academic and social-emotional areas.
