Special Education Teacher | Englewood, Colorado

Multiple positions are available, including mild/moderate caseloads as well as opportunities to guide an SSN (Significant Support Needs) program.

Key Requirements:

• Possession of a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license in Special Education
• Experience or strong interest in working with high school-aged students
• Expertise with mild to moderate Special Education caseloads or direct instruction in SSN programs
• Collaborative communication skills to liaise with educators, parents, and support staff
• Commitment to promoting inclusive, student-centered instruction and classroom management

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for high school students
• Foster a supportive classroom culture that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth
• Provide specialized instruction and modify curricula based on individual learning needs
• Partner with general education teachers and service providers to ensure students’ success
• Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings
• Advocate for student needs and champion a positive educational experience
