Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting early childhood learners as a Special Education Teacher in the Denver area. This full-time, onsite position runs from July 31, 2026, to May 26, 2027, and focuses on preschool-aged students. Expect a collaborative environment with a caseload of up to 15 students at a single site, where you'll foster growth and inclusion for young learners with disabilities.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited institution
  • Current, valid Colorado Department of Education certification in one of these:
    • Early Childhood Special Education (birth–8, Grades P3-2)
    • Early Childhood Special Education Specialist (birth–8, Grades P3-2)
    • Early Childhood Special Education (birth–5, Grade P3-K)
    • Early Childhood Special Education (3–8, Grades P3-2)
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children in a special education setting is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in using standardized assessments for eligibility and program planning
  • Commitment to supporting a range of learning needs in both classroom and pull-out contexts

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver individualized instruction to preschoolers with disabilities
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing Fridays for planning and team meetings
  • Execute both in-class and pull-out service delivery models
  • Monitor student progress through a continuum of services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in eligibility determination and IEP meetings
