Key Requirements:

• Valid CDE Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement (proof of applied license with correct endorsement may be accepted)
• License must read: Professional Teacher License #000000, Endorsed In: Special Education Generalist (5-21)
• Cannot consider candidates with only Substitute, Temporary, Interim, or VOCO/Hybrid credentials
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing individualized instruction, adapting lessons to support students on alternative standards
• Deep knowledge of the IEP process, including the creation, execution, and monitoring of Individualized Education Plans
• Strong collaborative skills for teamwork with other professionals and active participation on IEP teams
• In-depth understanding of effective teaching strategies, instructional practices, and specialized designed instruction in special education

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction to students with diverse learning needs in accordance with their individualized plans
• Develop, implement, and assess IEPs by partnering with students, families, and a multidisciplinary IEP team
• Modify curriculum and instructional techniques to foster student growth and achievement
• Provide support and direction for paraprofessionals, ensuring effective classroom management
• Maintain detailed student records and track progress toward IEP goals
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and staff to ensure cohesive support for student success
