Special Education Teacher in Englewood, CO

A fantastic opportunity awaits for skilled Special Education Teachers passionate about supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities in a dynamic educational setting. This contract position, set in a highly sought-after area near Denver, offers the chance to make a significant impact in students’ academic journeys from now through late May 2027. All instruction will be provided onsite.

In this role, you will:

• Work with students who have mild to moderate disabilities, creating inclusive and engaging lesson plans tailored to their unique learning needs.
• Collaborate closely with other educators and support staff to foster an environment that celebrates diverse learning styles and personal growth.
• Document and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring compliance and progress monitoring for each student.
• Participate in extended learning opportunities, providing up to 30 minutes at the end of each school day for makeup minutes as needed.
• Adhere to a school day schedule of 7:15 am – 3:25 pm.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher license/certification.
• Experience working in schools, preferably with students with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing IEPs.
• Ability to prepare a mock IEP and review a lesson plan as part of the interview process.
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills.

Additional Details:

• Hourly pay rate between $40 and $55, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Interviews are preferred onsite in a business casual environment, but virtual options are available if needed.
