Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with high school and/or middle school students in an instructional setting
- Strong grasp of IEP processes, documentation, and implementation
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, modify, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in accordance with each student’s abilities and goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Track progress, document outcomes, and maintain compliance with all federal and state requirements
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and positive classroom environment for all students
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as needed
