Qualifications:

• Current Special Education Teacher license and endorsement in Vermont, or eligibility for Vermont endorsement
• Previous experience teaching at the elementary level, especially within special education settings
• Thorough understanding of diverse learning styles, IEP development, and progress monitoring
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
• Positive, flexible mindset and collaborative spirit

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a mild/moderate caseload of elementary students, tailoring instruction and supports to meet individualized needs
• Develop, implement, and track educational plans that meet state standards and student goals
• Facilitate IEP meetings and maintain detailed documentation
• Adapt curriculum and implement effective strategies for diverse learners
• Partner with general education teachers and related service providers
• Engage with parents and guardians to support student success
