Special Education Teacher in Enosburg Falls, VT

A new opportunity is available for a dedicated Elementary Special Education Teacher who enjoys working in a supportive school environment. This full-time, contract position focuses on serving elementary-aged students with mild to moderate needs. You’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact by providing individualized instruction and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. This role runs from August 11, 2026, through June 15, 2027.

Qualifications:

• Current Vermont Special Education Teacher license or eligibility to obtain VT endorsement
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Strong knowledge of best practices in special education
• Experience with elementary-age students preferred
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Ability to manage and adapt to a mild to moderate caseload

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
• Adapt general education lessons for students with special needs, ensuring access and engagement
• Use assessment data to monitor and report on student progress
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and families to support student development
• Maintain accurate records and complete documentation per school and state requirements
• Participate in professional development and faculty meetings as needed
