Special Education Teacher in Estancia, NM

Step into an impactful educational role providing specialized support to students in grades 3 through 5 in an inclusive classroom. This full-time, contract position is available immediately through May 28th, 2027. In this role, you will collaborate with general education teachers to ensure all students receive the resources, modifications, and accommodations they need. Participation in IEP meetings and ongoing communication with parents and faculty are essential aspects of this rewarding position, fostering a holistic and supportive educational experience for every learner.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid New Mexico PED certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in an inclusion setting
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction based on diverse learning needs
• Passion for fostering a positive, supportive classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, adapt, and deliver instructional materials to support individual learning
• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, specialists, and parents
• Develop and manage IEPs, tracking student progress toward goals
• Provide direct instruction and small-group interventions as needed
• Facilitate a welcoming environment where every student can succeed
