As a Special Education Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of students with varying abilities
- Create and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and related service providers
- Employ a variety of differentiated instructional strategies to promote academic, social, and emotional growth
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported
- Collect and analyze student data to measure progress and adjust interventions when needed
- Communicate regularly with parents, instructional aides, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure student success
Qualifications we look for include:
- Hold a valid Special Education teaching credential (or eligibility)
- Prior experience working with Kindergarten to 2nd Grade students, especially in self-contained settings, is strongly preferred
- Deep commitment to inclusive education and individualized student growth
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective instructional and behavioral interventions
- Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication skills
