Special Education Teacher - Estill Springs, TN

An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students near Estill Springs, TN, on a contract basis through the end of the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves direct and indirect instructional minutes for approximately 23 students across various needs, including one learner developing Braille skills. The focus is exclusively on instructional support with no case management responsibilities, offering the chance to make a tangible impact within a collaborative educational setting.

Successful applicants will possess:

• An active, valid Tennessee Educator License issued through TNCompass
• Eligibility under the Practitioner License (initial 3-year standard or alternative/job-embedded) or Professional License (standard 6-year advanced)
• At least one of the following TDOE Special Education endorsements tailored to placement:
  • Special Education Interventionist (K-8) or (6-12): mild-to-moderate disabilities (elementary or secondary focus)
  • Special Education Comprehensive (K-12): severe/profound/multiple complex disabilities
  • Special Education Early Childhood (Pre-K-3): early intervention
• Experience providing direct/indirect instructional minutes for diverse student needs
• Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication, flexibility, and organizational skills
