Special Education Teacher - Euclid, OH

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Special Education teaching license
• Experience working with students with moderate to intensive disabilities, particularly in primary grades
• Background supporting nonverbal communication methods (e.g., AAC devices, PECS, sign language)
• Strong classroom management techniques and collaborative skills
• Passion for creating differentiated instructional strategies

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized instruction in a K-2 self-contained setting, with a primary focus on 2nd-grade students.
• Design and implement lesson plans tailored to the emotional and developmental needs of students with multiple disabilities.
• Utilize adaptive communication techniques for nonverbal students to support full participation and learning.
• Track and evaluate student progress through data collection, IEP development, and ongoing assessments.
• Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to ensure a holistic approach to each child’s growth.
