Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Kansas Special Education Certification (SPED Cert in KS required)
  • Background working with diverse learning needs in a classroom setting
  • Passion for fostering inclusive, student-centered environments
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Effective communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
  • Previous experience with either elementary or secondary age groups highly valued

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
  • Instruct and support students in either resource or specialized classroom settings
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere promoting academic, emotional, and social growth
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for optimal student integration
  • Communicate proactively with families and guardians regarding progress and strategies

Position Details:

  • Onsite role, 37.5 hours per week for the academic year (8/12/26 – 5/26/27)
  • Dedicated to one school location—no travel between sites required
