Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri Special Education Teacher certification is required
• Prior experience with writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Confidence working across K-12 grade levels and with various learning needs
• Familiarity with both resource room and self-contained teaching environments
• Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a growth mindset
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students with a range of abilities in compliance with IEPs
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, aides, and support staff to foster student growth
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports per school and state requirements
• Engage in regular meetings with families to discuss student achievements and develop educational goals
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet diverse student needs
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
