Your background should include:
- Active Special Education teaching credentials in Missouri
- Previous experience working with IEPs (Individualized Education Plans)
- Familiarity with both self-contained and resource classroom models
- Ability to manage diverse K-12 student caseloads
- A strong work ethic and commitment to student success
- A collaborative approach and the desire to learn and grow
- Positive, professional attitude and effective communication skills
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and manage IEPs tailored to student needs
- Provide instruction and interventions in self-contained and/or resource settings
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
- Monitor student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed
- Maintain organized and accurate records to support each learner’s goals
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom where every student can thrive
