Special Education Teacher (IRR) - Augusta Area

We are seeking three qualified Special Education Teachers to work with students in Augusta, GA area for this upcoming school year. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for educators experienced in providing specialized instruction and supporting students with Individualized Education Programs.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Contract: Full-time, 2026–2027 school year
• Setting: On-site only
• Caseload: To be determined

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students receiving special education services
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, administrators, and related-service providers
• Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and special education documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Support an inclusive, structured, and positive learning environment
• Apply effective classroom and behavior-management strategies

Qualifications

• Active Georgia Special Education teaching certification/licensure
• Experience working in a school-based special education setting preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and classroom-management skills
• Availability to work full-time throughout the school year
