Key Qualifications:

  • Valid LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) licensure for grades 9-12
  • Strong background in high school special education
  • Ability to create engaging, individualized learning plans
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with staff, students, and families
  • Prior experience with diverse student populations preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs and abilities
  • Design and deliver instruction in accordance with curriculum standards and special education best practices
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, counselors, and parent/guardian teams to support student progress
  • Regularly assess student growth and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
  • Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and self-advocacy
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and regulatory requirements

Position Details:

  • High school caseload (grades 9-12)
  • Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • Contract position for the new school year
