Special Education Teacher - Evanston, IL

What We’re Looking For:

• Active certification as a Special Education Teacher (K-2 preferred)
• Experience with students in grades K-2 or similar early childhood settings
• Knowledge of IEP processes, accommodations, and differentiation strategies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families
• Ability to adapt to a year-round calendar, ensuring consistent support for students
• Passion for fostering inclusion and student success

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging, individualized lesson plans to students in primary grades
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and school leadership
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed to meet IEP goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school guidelines
• Communicate with caregivers to celebrate successes and address concerns
