This contract special education opportunity runs full-time during the 2026-2027 school year, offering the chance to impact learners from 9th through 12th grade in a collaborative environment. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM, with both lunch and planning periods built in.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid LBS1 certification covering grades 9–12
• Demonstrated skill and experience as a special education teacher
• Proficiency in writing and implementing IEPs
• High school teaching experience preferred (not mandatory)
• Bilingual abilities valued but not required
• Comfortable working independently or collaboratively in a co-teaching setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, tailored instruction to high school students in either a co-taught or self-contained classroom
• Develop, manage, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff as needed
• Communicate progress and needs to parents and guardians
• Adapt and implement instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
