Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience teaching in special education preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet students’ diverse learning needs
- Experience collaborating with teams, including general educators, therapists, and parents
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and goals
- Deliver engaging instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities in small group or one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and parents to support student progress
- Track and report on student achievement, progress, and areas for growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff professional development opportunities
- Support positive classroom behavior and social-emotional growth for all learners
