Special Education Teacher | Evergreen, Colorado

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (required)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a classroom or resource setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Familiarity with differentiated instruction and data-driven teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working well with teachers, support staff, and families
• Passion for supporting students with a range of special needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students in collaboration with parents, staff, and support services
• Adapt lessons and teaching materials to meet diverse learning styles and unique needs
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed, maintaining accurate documentation
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with general education teachers to support student success
• Communicate effectively with families to provide updates on student progress and strategies for continued growth
