Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire Teaching License required
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher in resource or self-contained settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Skill in adapting curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction to students with a variety of needs in resource, grade-level, or program-specific settings
- Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general educators, related service providers, and families for comprehensive student support
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance, and accommodations
- Utilize evidence-based instructional and behavioral interventions
- Contribute to school-wide efforts for promoting positive behavioral supports, especially in the mental health/behavior program role
This contract assignment runs from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027, with a Monday-Friday schedule and work hours from 7:30 AM to 2:20 PM. The position offers consistent hours each week (32.5-35), ensuring excellent work-life balance during the academic year.
