Special Education Teacher - Exeter, New Hampshire

Four Special Education Teachers are needed for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year—three focused on resource room and grade-level support, and one with a specialized role in a mental health/behavior self-contained program. Qualifications:

• Valid New Hampshire Teaching License required
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher in resource or self-contained settings preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Skill in adapting curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction to students with a variety of needs in resource, grade-level, or program-specific settings
• Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general educators, related service providers, and families for comprehensive student support
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance, and accommodations
• Utilize evidence-based instructional and behavioral interventions
• Contribute to school-wide efforts for promoting positive behavioral supports, especially in the mental health/behavior program role

This contract assignment runs from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027, with a Monday-Friday schedule and work hours from 7:30 AM to 2:20 PM. The position offers consistent hours each week (32.5-35), ensuring excellent work-life balance during the academic year.
