This placement offers two full-time roles: one at the middle school level and one at the high school level, both within self-contained special education settings. You’ll play a pivotal role in helping students reach their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals in a supportive educational environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Special Education Teacher licensure or certification required
  • Previous experience as an Intervention Specialist, especially in self-contained classrooms, is highly valued
  • Familiarity with IEP development and successful implementation
  • Strong ability to collaborate with educational teams, families, and related service providers
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, individualized learning
  • Excellent communication, adaptability, and organization skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and modifications tailored to student IEPs
  • Create engaging lesson plans adapted for a variety of learning needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, structured classroom environment
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Maintain all required documentation and compliance with school procedures
