This contract position focuses on providing individualized instruction to students in kindergarten through 2nd grade for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting both academic and functional skills development. Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (kindergarten–2nd grade) in a self-contained or similar classroom setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and data collection
- Ability to effectively differentiate instruction based on diverse student needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans that align with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
- Monitor student progress, regularly assess learning, and adjust instruction accordingly
- Communicate and work collaboratively with classroom assistants, related service providers, and families to support each child’s development
- Maintain thorough documentation and uphold all school policies and state/federal regulations
