Special Education Teacher - Fairfax, Vermont

Key Qualifications:

• Current Vermont teaching license with Special Education endorsement or eligibility for endorsement in Vermont
• Experience or interest in working with elementary-aged students
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to provide individualized instruction and develop IEPs for students with diverse learning requirements
• Collaborative approach to working with staff, families, and related service providers

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and adapt instruction for students in a mild/moderate special education caseload
• Develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in line with state and federal guidelines
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and assessments to support student growth
• Work in partnership with general education teachers to provide inclusion support and foster positive learning experiences
• Communicate regularly with families, building strong connections to support student success
