Special Education Teacher in Fairfax, VT

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Vermont licensure with Special Education endorsement—or the ability to secure eligibility for Vermont endorsement
• Previous experience teaching or supporting students in special education settings preferred
• Ability to manage and adapt instructional strategies for mild/moderate caseloads
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with mild to moderate disabilities
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure appropriate academic and behavioral interventions
• Monitor student progress and document data to support continued educational growth
• Participate in team meetings and professional development initiatives
