A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for a per diem position in Rochester, NY, to provide flexible support in a school setting. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instructional support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborating with school staff and administration to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Adapting lesson plans and materials to meet individual student needs.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress.
- Maintaining a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Valid New York State Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with students with special needs in a school environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage varying caseloads and adapt to daily assignment needs.
- Flexibility and availability Monday through Friday on a per diem basis.
Location: Rochester, NY
This position starts January 12, 2026, and ends June 26, 2026. Hours are per diem with no guaranteed hours each week, allowing for flexibility depending on district needs.
