A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the Extended School Year (ESY) contract in a middle school setting. This onsite role is located in Fall River, MA, and focuses on supporting students with special needs through specialized instruction and individualized educational plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored instructional programs for special education students in a middle school environment.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to address students’ academic and behavioral needs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities related to special education.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with middle school students in special education.
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and disability laws.
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
