Math High School Special Education Teacher - Fall River, Massachusetts

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Proven experience teaching secondary math in middle and/or high school settings
• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies for students with diverse learning abilities
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Capacity to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Flexibility and creativity in adapting curriculum and assessments

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with IEPs for students in grades 6–12
• Assess students’ progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers for inclusive classroom experiences
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
• Cultivate a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Utilize technology and various resources to tailor instruction and improve outcomes
