Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Proven experience teaching secondary math in middle and/or high school settings
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies for students with diverse learning abilities
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Capacity to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Flexibility and creativity in adapting curriculum and assessments
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with IEPs for students in grades 6–12
- Assess students’ progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers for inclusive classroom experiences
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
- Cultivate a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
- Utilize technology and various resources to tailor instruction and improve outcomes
