Special Education Teacher - Fallon, NV

You'll take the lead for a dedicated caseload of 12 middle schoolers, helping them gain essential skills for future independence and success. As a core part of the educational team, your expertise will ensure every student receives the individualized guidance they deserve over a consistent 35-hour workweek.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience in a school-based role, particularly with middle school age groups
• Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Understanding of life skills curriculum and strategies for students with diverse abilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with families, colleagues, and support staff
• Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning and problem-solving

What You'll Do:

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique goals
• Teach life skills and academic subjects using differentiated instruction
• Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
