Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification (state licensure required or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working with middle school students, particularly those with life skills needs, strongly desired
• Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Organized, flexible, and compassionate approach to supporting diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and supports to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Develop and adapt curriculum for life skills instruction, including social, academic, and functional independence
• Conduct assessments and collaborate on IEP goals and progress monitoring
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate where all students are valued and encouraged to succeed
• Communicate regularly with families and team members to ensure coordinated support
• Maintain documentation and compliance with all special education guidelines
